If you're in the film industry,
you could probably use some encouragement and support.
The Sisterhood is an online monthly membership where actresses talk about:
- struggles and how to stand up yourself
- being a Christian in the industry
- insecurities, questions, adulting stuff, and girl stuff
- dreams, goals, and how to pursue them
- everything in between
These things can feel awkward to share with just anyone, but when you're surrounded by people who get you, it's a totally different experience.
If you want to build your career with integrity, find supportive industry friends, and have a safe place to figure out adult stuff, join us.
God gave you this dream for a reason, so let's ignite it.
Love for The Sisterhood:

The great thing about the Core Mentors?
We're all actors...
who love Jesus.
God led me to these ladies and I'm so thankful because their hearts are amazing.

How did The Sisterhood come to be?
One of the girls inside The Sisterhood asked me these questions for her research, so I thought I'd share.
What have you found to be a common cause of a lack of confidence in women?
Societal pressures and media. It seems that a handful of people have decided what 'beauty' looks like and that beauty is something to be attained, and they've taken that made-up standard and put that message out into the world. It intentionally or unintentionally creates comparison, a feeling of lack and consumerism.
I also think a lack of confidence stems from parents and other well-intentioned adults. In an effort to 'protect' a young girl (from getting made fun of, from not fitting in, etc.), they say things or do things to the next generation that keep young girls focused on appearance or achievement (external efforts) rather than continuously building them up in their core.
If beauty was irrelevant, and skills, ability, and heart were where people focused their efforts, I think we'd have an incredible ripple effect from generation to generation that would build the confidence of young girls, who would then grow up and build the confidence of other young girls, and it would be a beautiful cycle of strength supporting strength.
What inspired you to start The Sisterhood?
This topic of confidence is exactly why I started The Sisterhood and its umbrella business: Personal Powerhouse.
Personal Powerhouse is all about building confidence in young adults by equipping them with life skills.
We're taught 'knowledge' in school, but I feel like we're rarely taught skills. Skills, and the ability to do things on our own, are where we get confidence in ourselves.
When we can rely on ourselves, make ourselves proud, and show ourselves that we're capable of carrying out seemingly impossible tasks, we automatically believe in ourselves more. We have a better thought process about ourselves. And because we have a positive self-image, we tend to treat others well. It's all a ripple effect.
The Sisterhood was started because I really wanted a safe place for girls to talk about girl things - again, the things that aren't taught in school. I didn't have an older sister, so some totally normal female things were absolutely foreign to me, and when we're embarrassed or ashamed to talk about normal things, we get stuck in an uncomfortable skin.
Once we find out that there are others experiencing the same thing, we're relieved and no longer embarrassed. I don't feel like we should spend our entire lives feeling embarrassed and awkward.
